The first thing I like to do after a good anime is to search for amvs (anime music videos which are usually fan-made) on youtube. One reason is to look back at the show I had witnessed for the past couple of days. Another reason is to find some excellent music, but this can be trickier than it at first seems. A good deal of amvs utilize bands like Skillet or Ashes Remain, especially the more action orientated shows such as Fullmetal Alchemist or Code Geass. But on the rare occasion I actually do stumble across a good song it makes the show that much more memorable. I can hear the song and instantly recall some of my favourite scenes. This is exactly what happened to an anime called Gosick. The show itself was a marvelous mix of romance, mystery, and action and is definitely worth a watch.
This brings me to “Don’t Let Me Go” by The Click Five. It was the first amv I came across and by golly was it a good one. The song was originally written to bring awareness to traffickers and slave traders. It’s honestly really touching and it makes us realize the horror that takes place around us every day. Give it a listen and see what you think.
And here’s the amv of Gosick too just because I love it *grins.
